The Polish embassy in Canada, in cooperation with the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, participated in education and job fairs Recruit in Canada-Study and Go Abroad in Ottawa, held on 22 September, 2013.
Recruit in Canada-Study and Go Abroad are the biggest education & job fairs for young people in Canada, organised twice a year in five cities: Toronto, Ottawa, Halifax, Calgary and Vancouver. The fairs aim to present the wide offer of higher education studies, volunteering, professional internships and travel directed to young people and students from Canada.
The Polish Embassy organised also at the fairs a seminar with a presentation of English language studies at Polish higher education institutions, based on the brochure Poland. Study in English, as well as a multimedia presentation by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education concerning study opportunities in Poland, educational trends and interest of foreign students coming to Poland. At the Polish stand organised by the embassy at the fairs visitors received wide-ranging information and consular advice regarding the study opportunities and conditions of studying in Poland, as well as living conditions and expenses. Various professional development and work opportunities were presented to our visitors as part of the Youth Mobility program between Canada and Poland, as well as the tourism opportunities.
The autumn edition of the fairs attracted nearly 360 exhibitors and around 5,500 visitors.
